Time
It has this subtle sweetness to it
Like honey, caramel
Like truth?
I can feel its sweetness on my tongue

Make no mistake
It has its own share of bitterness
Like a lost child to a mother
Like the tears of an orphan
Like a wasted life

In the beginning
God created
Our God knows no boundary of time
No past, no present, no future
He absorbs it all
Never mind
My mind can’t comprehend that

To the Lord
A day is a thousand years
And a thousands years as one day
The Bible tells me so.

Father?
My past, present, and future
You see them all in one breath
Why do I doubt?
Why am I restless?
Why am I untrusting of You?
Why am I of little faith at times?

Heaven
O God, I see Heaven in You
I have known eternal joy in You
Peace runs through my veins
My mouth has tasted Your goodness
My heart beats in Yours
How and why do I get to have favor in Yours eyes?
Oh my God!

Why do I have eyes to see?
Seeing is beholding You
Knowing is encountering You

To find favor in Your eyes?
Only once in history did time
Completely stop.
Who knew words could stop time?

Three words stopped time
The veil that stood between
God and mankind was broken

Because Hell couldn’t
Foresee what had just happened
Praise literally broke out in Heaven
King Jesus

King Jesus had rescued all mankind
King Jesus had won the war over death
King Jesus perfectly lived
the spotless life in His Father’s presence

It is finished
God, I get this lifetime privilege
To always have You
Rain, shine, or thunder
Father, I always have You.

My heart slows
Heaven broke through my chest
The Holy Spirit has made a home in me

Moments, years, months
Days, minutes, seconds
All is Yours, Lord.
