Is it possible to know You
To really know You
Without the veil of our sin
that mostly blind us?
To know You
like Adam knew Eve
in Genesis?

Is it possible to live
unhurried in Your presence
To dwell in Your presence
To never leave Your presence
To fully rest in You
To be people of Your presence
Could I be a woman of Your presence?
The Cross says yes
Your grace says yes
Your steadfast love says yes
Your truth draws us in
And I become what I never
thought I could be:
A lover of Your presence.

To know You
is to be enticed by Your glory
To know You
is to know the fullness of life.

Life is a mystery
but to know You
trumps all life’s heartbreaks.
How is it possible
to really know
the glory-filled “I AM”
the beginning and the end.
Before we were, He was
and even after we are not,
He will be.

He is all sufficient
He is all enough
o the beauty of knowing Him
His wholeness makes all
the heart’s cracks begin
to forget all the wounds,
and somehow, like a miracle
the heart becomes whole again.

You are the great I AM
and to wholeheartedly trust You
is the beginner’s first step
to really know You!
Let us experience the
glory of Your presence.

Some goals and dreams
may never be accomplished
but what if,
a big what if,
on the path of those failed
goals and dreams
we find the most precious
gift of all,
for our hearts to know You
and our lives to always,
always be solely found in You!

Thank You eternally Lord God
for sealing us with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13)
