His mercies are new every morning
He doesn’t wait until it’s a new year
to shower us with new mercies.
Every morning His mercies are there,
do you notice them?
Are you still enough to listen to His voice?
He comes as a whisper in the unexpected
His mercies are new every morning
He wants you to know, yes, life may have been tough in 2014
but My mercies were there for you every day
yes, every day
everyday. I. was. faithful. to you. to you
Now, I am giving you a new year,
will you slow down to notice My love?

Yes, we can all take a long deep breath and remind ourselves;
yes, we can be the people He intends us to be because
His mercies are new every morning.
His love never stops giving,
His grace never stops flowing like the Niagara falls.

The new mercies are there to give you and me hope
it doesn’t matter how painful yesterday was,
it doesn’t matter either how lonely today is,
His mercies will be new today and tomorrow
and that gives me enough
joy to keep taking one more breath,
one more step forward.

The good news about all of this?
His mercies are new every morning regardless
of my failings and shortcomings
New mercies, every day for me.
New mercies, every day for you.
Open your eyes, open them wide…
don’t miss His mercies today
because after all, sometimes
they are our only hope for tomorrow…
